Tim Floyd is an Architectural materials scientist and chartered surveyor. For the last 18 years he has specialised in:
- Assessment and diagnosis of problems with timber (both in historic and modern buildings)
- The ‘biology of buildings’ – specifically with regard to insects, fungi and moulds
- Monitoring and assessing building environments
- Water distribution in buildings (Damp problems)
Tim is generally found either crawling through a floor void or roof space – or in his office/lab writing reports, peering down a microscope or processing samples.
